This big old building is technically 2 doors down from our house. OK, that includes crossing a street, so 2 doors & a street.
It's full of asbestos and overcrowded with prisoners on the top floors. They had hoped to sell it, but now it looks like demolition will be the resolution.
I'm torn:
On the one hand: Hurray for better use and/or a better-looking building.
On the other: Better use, better looking will increase our property value and our taxes.
Like my mom always says: you can't have it all.
