monkey business

I realize it's not fair to pick on the Brits, but they have provided the latest example of why this four-fifths theory may be a good one.

A recent survey has found that only 25% of the British believe that evolution is true. To ease this pain a little bit, another 25% say evolution is "probably true."

So we're really only dealing with half a population of nitwits over there.

I suspect that if that same survey were given in the US, Brian's four-fifths theory would surely come to fruition. Indeed, over the years, and as the subhead of my blog shows, I've come to expect that we're a nation of loonies. And so I'd be disappointed if the results showed otherwise. Yes, such "intelligent" design.
