I don't know why I'm constantly surprised by the stupidity that arises from fear. And how that stupidity engenders further ignorance.
Two recent developments at my work building:
This little tissue dispenser is installed next to the inside door of the ladies' bathroom. I hear the men have one, too. Does this excuse people from washing their hands after they've used the toilet?
And today, this nifty Purel dispenser appeared in the lobby, stationed between the elevator doors:
Dealing with society, there's always eye-rolling material.

At work, we have no need to wash our hands.
Instead we have an intern (unpaid) who does all of the holding and wiping for us.
