happy new year!

It's strange how, as you get older, the passing of each year and celebrating the New Year's Eve and Day, takes on less meaning. Maybe because we now realize just how fast time goes.

Went out for Indian food last night, and as ever, India Castle did not disappoint, right down to the waiter who hates everybody. Though we did catch him singing as he carried our plates away. Maybe he has something to look forward to in 2009.

For us, there's lots of good things coming in 2009. I'm thinking of it as the Year of Family + Travel:

January - to San Francisco to see our very dear friend Jeffrey
February - to Cleveland to celebrate my parents' 60th anniversary
March - to England to see Richard's family and, hopefully, lots of sheep and lambs!
April - to NYC, when Richard's niece flies there for a school trip
July - to Memphis/Nashville with Richard's parents
August - back to Cleveland for my nephew's wedding

And that's just what we know about as of now! Hoping to add and enjoy all year long.

Happy New Year!
