crap at the ICA

We went to the new ICA this weekend. $12 to see ONE floor's worth of so-called modern art? Let me tell ya, the views of Boston and the harbor were more amazing and stimulating than the exhibits, which included pixelated photographs (which any dummy with Photoshop can do), twist-ties from produce, dried flower arrangement (actually, this one smelled nice, so I'll give it half a point), and miniatures of food packaging (please! my husband's company does this all the time for their clients! should their work be in the ICA, too?).

The problem here is that many people question "what art is", let alone modern interpretations of it. So you've got to put up displays that are breathtaking, not just fun and interesting. I think the ICA has failed.
